Date Property
This Dialog allows you to add a date field to
your document. The tool is accessible through either the Add menu or from the
Draw
Toolbar located to the left of the document window.

- Use standard date format - select to
use standard date format from the drop-down box
- Use custom date format - select to
specify a custom date format
- Date Value - select the date to
display
- Current Date - the current date at
the time of the print will be used
- Current Date Plus - the current date
plus a specified number of days, months, or years
- Current Date Minus - the current
date minus a specified number of days, months, or years
- Show text using capital letters -
check to display the date using capital letters
- Date Preview - a preview of what the
date will look like is shown
Inserting Text
- From Menu
- From the Insert menu, select Filed Control.
- Select Database in the Add Text dialog and
click Next.
- The
Text
Data Source Dialog Properties dialog will be displayed.
- Select the desired text format options and
click Ok.
- A new text field will be inserted into the
center of the current layer and it's properties will be displayed.
- With Text tool
- Move the cursor to the area of the document
you would like the top left corner of the text field to be located.
- Left-click to insert the text field.
- Select Database in the Add Text dialog and
click Next.
- The
Text
Data Source Dialog Properties dialog will be displayed.
- Select the desired text format options and
click Ok.
- A new text field will be then be inserted.
Modifying Properties
- From Properties Window
- Double left-click on the text field object.
- The
Date Property dialog is then displayed.
- Make any modifications then click Ok to
save the changes or Cancel to leave the properties unmodified.
- From Toolbar
- Left-click on the text field object.
- The Angle, Font Name, and Font Size
properties are then displayed in the
Format toolbar.
- Click on a drop-down box to modify a
property of the selected text field.
Other Options
- Left-click on the text field to select it.
- Right-click on the text field to display
other options. Such options include clipboard operations, object placement and
alignment, and automatic object resizing.
- Move the cursor over one of the menu options
and left-click to select it or move the cursor out of the menu and left-click
to close the menu.
